Motivation
In time, you may have become somewhat complacent in your management of diabetes. However, consistency is important to your long term health and well-being. Maybe you need to be reminded of some of the less obvious benefits healthy lifestyle choices can have.
Once you have fallen into a healthy routine of good diet, consistent exercise, and precise medical treatment, you will most likely experience a sense of freedom that you never thought possible. Right now diabetes probably seems like a burden. However, once you are making healthy choices, having diabetes will be a reminder to you of how far you have come. You will understand the significance of eating right and exercising regularly, and you may even appreciate your health more than ever.
Making healthy choices gives you the energy you never had before to do physical activities. You may have more energy to play with your children or grandchildren, or do the things you never felt like doing after a long work day. Eating right and exercising frequently could give you the energy to do the things you've always dreamed of doing.
Finally, you probably don't realize how your having diabetes affects your loved ones. They are probably aware of the damaging effects diabetes can have on your body and are concerned whether you are eating right, exercising, and properly medicating yourself. Worry and anxiety can cause stress in a family and also have damaging physical effects. Remember that your decisions almost always affect someone other than yourself.
Diabetes is a manageable disease. Your Rite Aid Pharmacist is happy to personally help you get back on the right path toward health.
